Pre-orders will open on 20 January for the print edition of contemporary exes-to-lovers novel Picking Up Where We Left Off* (坠欢重拾, pinyin: zhui huan chong shi) by Tao Jiu De Jiaohuazi (讨酒的叫花子, literally: The Wine Beggar), who I think of as a decently known though not massively famous author in baihe circles. The central romance is between a rich heiress and a struggling artist, who find their positions reversed post-breakup (the heiress loses her money, the artist becomes successful).This is a mainland Chinese publication, so will be censored and will be in simplified Chinese. Each copy comes with a bookmark, two photocards and a poster, details of which can be seen here.
